CNET is reporting that Apple is being deluged by the government's requests to decrypt its iPhones. Currently (there is hope for change on the horizon), law enforcement can search will-nilly through a person's smartphone pursuant to an arrest. Agents hit a wall, though, when the person has an iPhone that is protected with a password and also encrypted. To get around these barriers, they ask Apple to decrypt the phones.
